  You Don't Have to Tell the Elders Anything!

  if you were ever brought before a judicial committee, and were about to be interrogated by the elders, just remember...you owe them nothing.

  they are mere men and no better than you!

  even if it wasn’t a judicial interrogation , you should never feel obligated to them.

  You Don't Have to Tell the Elders Anything!

  Twenty years ago I asked my 20-year-old disfellowshipped cousin... Why in the world did you would admit to committing fornication with your girlfriend? Guilty people go to court and plead not guilty. Why would you admit guilt to the Elders when you knew that you would be disfellowshipped or marked? Why not say that you had a girlfriend but was chaste?

  My cousin told me that he needed to tell the Elders because his conscience was bothering him.

  You dummy!!!!!!!!!.... The Elders would have needed to be in the same room with you and your girlfriend and catch you in the act. It's better to live with a guilty conscience than lose your family.

  My cousin was disfellowshipped twenty years ago and to this day is still shunned from his dad, sister, and the rest of the family. He has been told numerous times...Unless you come back to the meetings and get reinstated, we cannot have any contact with you or your wife.

  My niece and her husband are ''special pioneers.'' They quit their full-time jobs and moved down to South Carolina. They both work 2-3 days per week and pioneer the rest of the week. They might be next in line if the layoffs continue.

  Consider a married couple, Philip and Mary, who had served at Bethel for nearly 25 years. Within four months, both lost their mothers and another relative in death and began caring for Mary’s father, who has dementia. 9 Philip recalls: “I thought I was coping well to a certain point, but something was missing. I came across Colossians 1:11 in a Watchtower study article. I was enduring, true, but not in the fullest sense. I needed to ‘endure fully with patience and joy.’ This verse reminded me that my joy in life is dependent, not on my circumstances, but on the effect that God’s spirit has in my life.”
  10 In response to their efforts to maintain a spiritual outlook on their situation, Jehovah blessed Philip and Mary in many ways. Soon after leaving Bethel, they both found progressive Bible students who wanted to study more than once a week. Looking back, Mary says, “They were our joy and Jehovah’s way of telling us that everything was going to be fine.”

  So, after losing both their mothers and another relative in death....caring for a father who needs special care.......... Jehovah ( with all his power ) blesses the couple with employment?better health? a new home? job skills? Nope.....Jehovah blesses them with a bi-weekly Bible study.

  Who reassigned them? Who informed them? Who made the change?

  Here is a photo (dramatized) from the WT Study October 2018!

  Look at the faces of the husband and wife who probably served at Bethel for many years and are now ex-Bethelites. Thrown out in the streets with no savings, no employment, no job skills and being told to leave everything in Jehovah's hands.

  Lloyd and Alexandra learn that they have been reassigned to the field, they at first felt sad. After all, they had been serving at Bethel for over 25 years.

  Ryan and Juliette were informed that their assignment as temporary special pioneers had come to an end, they felt dejected.

  Osborne and Polite, a South African couple, left Bethel, they thought they would soon have part-time work and a place to live. “Unfortunately,” recounts Osborne, “secular work did not come as soon as we had hoped.” His wife, Polite, recalls: “We did not find work for three months, and we had no savings. It was a real challenge.”

  After being thrown out in the streets with no employment and no savings, How does the WTBTS spin these layoffs? Unexpected changes can lead to unexpected blessings!

  Paragraph 22 says it all!

  22 If life takes an unexpected turn —whether as a result of a change in our theocratic assignments, health problems, or new family responsibilities— be assured that Jehovah cares for you and will help you at the right time. (Heb. 4:16; 1 Pet. 5:6, 7) In the meantime, try to make the best of your situation. Draw close to your heavenly Father through prayer, and learn to leave yourself in his caring hands. In this way, you too will maintain inner peace despite changing circumstances.

  it is a place that simon wanted people to be able to come to, to receive help, support, or find a compassionate listener.. this forum has exposed the watchtower more times than any forum on the net.

  I have found that I belong here more than any Kingdom Hall. The boredom, cliques, do more, not good enough, self-righteous, and ''am I doing enough to please Jehovah'' is off my shoulders.

  I hated myself for years by going through the motions. There were times I would drive around in my car and walk in 1 minute before the meetings started and leave 1 minute after the meetings ended because I knew I didn't belong there. I hated every minute of the meetings. It's either you are 100% in or get out since it will eat you alive.

  The Elders knew I was going through the motions just to please my family. I came up with every excuse on why I missed the meetings. Work, illness, and 100 other reasons why I wasn't at the meetings.

  One day I decided I wasn't going to any more meetings. I broke my mom's heart but it was either my physical and mental breakdown or continue to lie and suffer.

  The '' mental abuse'' the WTBTS put me through will never end. They did a great job on me. All I know is that by coming on this fabulous site I will heal and feel better. I know now that there are millions of people who lived through the same Jehovah's Witness life.

  The downfall of the Governing Body

  in a book i read a while back by the sociologist randall collins he says truly powerful people don't get angry because they get what they want in other ways, and he shows a picture of two runners where the one who's losing looks at the girl that passes her rather than ahead at the finish line, guess she doesn't wanna win the race after all.

  i want to apply these to the governing body and their actions, the pattern of their actions, in printing all the hateful rhetoric against people like us and why l'm pretty sure, pretty damn confident in fact, it's all downhill from here... thanks to them and them alone.. the moment you let somebody get in your head and let them stay there they beat you, they win, they establish power, we got in their heads, they know we present a threat to them, we won't shut up, we're more brazen than we used to be, we're in the news, we're on tv, we're online we're at conventions we're in the kingdom halls, hell we're just about everywhere.

  yeah, we don't have this completely down yet, sometimes we come on too strong or do something stupid, and i'm pointing the finger at myself here too, but for the most part we know how to fight this battle: we drag them into the light when they wanna hide in the dark like jackals lurking in the woods sneaking up on weak and wounded deer.

  The walls of the WTBTS are being cracked but nobody is breaking down the walls.

  We have internet videos and books exposing all their lies, elders resigning, no new members besides Jehovah's Witness children, contributions dwindling, teens leaving in droves, layoffs at the WTS headquarters, pedophile lawsuits in the millions, closings of Kingdom Halls all over the world, the printing of books and magazines is barely alive, and many other things exposing and bringing the downfall of the WTBTS.

  Just like it takes a pack of Hyenas to injure and defeat a lone lion, the WTBTS is wounded but not defeated. Their billions of dollars and lawyers will keep it alive. This corporation will use all measures to stay alive.

  The 800 lbs. gorilla is the only thing that will break down the wall. ( Government intervention and a mass exodus of its faithful members)

  if they can't logically attack the message, they attack the messenger!!

  the name calling of apostates or anyone who doesn't agree with all the wtbts flip-flops ( the light gets brighter) never stops!

  I was a member in 1974. This statement was written in this ''Kingdom Ministry 5/1974'' ring true. Notice, the Watchtower study article that was written years later blaming its members for the 1975 fiasco.

    Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world’s end.

  • Clearly, Jesus was concerned that his followers too could become distracted by Satan's world, even to the point that they might "return to the things behind." (Luke 17:22, 31) And, indeed, this has happened to some Christians. For years such ones longed for the day when Jehovah will put an end to this wicked world. However, when Armageddon did not occur by the time they expected, ` they became disheartened. Their confidence in the nearness of Jehovah's day of judgment faded. They slowed down in the ministry and gradually became so involved in the mundane matters of life that little time was left for spiritual matters. (Luke 8:11, 13, 14) In time, they `returned to the things behind'--how sad!
